BASIC SWEDISH MASSAGE
This popular course runs one weekend a month for eight months, at Inverness.
Home study and practice are also required.
The course will introduce the beginner/student to, and give a good grounding in: Anatomy, Physiology,Swedish Massage Techniques and Practice Management.
Subjects include: Swedish massage-its uses, effects and contra-indications; an introduction to the systems of the body and how they inter-relate, homeostasis and basic pathology.
Graduates from this course who wish to continue training are eligible to apply for the Remedial and Sports Massage Course (8 weekends) or the On-Site Massage course (2 weekends) or the Reflexology course (6 weekends)- all held in Inverness, Aberdeen and Edinburgh- or the Clinical Aromatherapy course (7 weekends)- held in Edinburgh. The Advanced Remedial Massage course (12 weekends) follows on from the Remedial and Sports course in Aberdeen & Edinburgh.
All courses are affiliated to the Guild of Complementary Practitioners as well as the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation.
